Privacy and data handling

This notice describes the processing carried out by BOBBONS features currently in use and explains how to send a request through the Contact form.

Controller and contact details

The public editorial identity is bobbonauta. BOBBONS is the bilingual magazine linked to the Shardana Games project; this public name does not imply a corporate legal form. For contact or personal-data requests, use the Contact form; messages are stored in the private WordPress inbox.

Contact form data

The form requests a name, email address, category, subject and message. Correction and copyright requests may also ask for the page URL; copyright requests ask the sender to identify the original work, describe the alleged infringement and state their rights or authority. The form accepts no files. Do not send identity documents, passwords, payment details or other sensitive information.

The data are used to receive and handle each request, reply to the sender and record the relevant editorial or administrative outcome. This notice does not specify definitive lawful bases or any additional recipients.

Storage and notifications

Requests are stored in a private content area within BOBBONS’s WordPress installation on the VPS. It is restricted to authorised administrators and is not exposed through REST. Requests remain open until an administrator closes them; automatic deletion is scheduled 90 days after closure.

Email notifications are not active. Messages are stored in the private WordPress inbox, which is the currently available channel and must be checked in the WordPress administration.

Cookies and technical storage

Polylang uses the functional pll_language cookie to remember the selected language. The Contact page uses the HttpOnly session cookie ot_contact_csrf to bind a form submission to its session and reduce forged submissions. The System, Light or Dark theme preference stays in the browser’s localStorage and is not sent through the form.

To limit repeated submissions, the form temporarily uses a keyed identifier derived from the network address; this counter does not store the plain IP address.

Requests about personal data

For a personal data request, select the Privacy category on the Contact page. WordPress export and erasure tools are prepared for contact requests; the controller is responsible for identity checks and any applicable exceptions.

Comments

New comment submissions are currently blocked: the anonymous form is unavailable and the planned external sign-in for discussions has not been enabled. Comments already stored in the database may contain a name, email address, text, IP address, browser information and submission date. A name and comment may be visible after approval; email addresses and IP addresses are not shown to visitors.

Stored comments remain linked to their content until an administrator deletes them. No automatic retention period has been set. Before discussions are re-enabled, the authentication method, data handled, any external providers and retention period must be specified.
