BOBBONS is an independent editorial project that explores the past, helps make sense of the present and looks ahead through science, technology and knowledge. Shardana Games is the project’s public name, and BOBBONS is its bilingual magazine. We tell stories about discoveries, tools and ideas that help readers understand the world—from traces of ancient societies to the apps we use every day and the questions that remain open.
Why BOBBONS exists
A scientific discovery, a monument, a new network and an app may seem like unrelated subjects. We see them as different ways to explore how people understand, shape and move through the world. The magazine brings these stories together and explains what is known, where the information comes from and what still needs clarification.
What we cover
Our coverage is organised into six existing areas:
- Technology: devices, networks, infrastructure and innovation.
- Science: research, findings, archaeology, cultural heritage and monuments in historical context.
- Artificial intelligence: models, applications, opportunities and limitations.
- Apps and software: digital tools, services and useful comparisons.
- Travel and mobility: maps, itineraries, transport and ways to discover places.
- Guides and tutorials: practical instructions with clear requirements and limits.
Archaeology does not have to involve modern technology to belong here. A story may begin with a find, a historic landscape or a new reading of the evidence. When relevant, we also cover archaeological research tools, cultural routes and apps that help people navigate or learn about a place.
Who is bobbonauta?
bobbonauta is the editorial identity behind BOBBONS and the byline used for the magazine’s original work. It identifies the project; it does not claim professional credentials, a larger newsroom or a corporate structure that has not been documented.
Research, sources and corrections
Where available, we start with original material: documents, research, official data and information published by the maker of a product or service. Secondary sources can add context, but a story is not confirmed simply because several sites repeat it. We link sources near the claims they support and distinguish documented facts from interpretation and open questions.
Errors should be corrected clearly. If you spot an inaccurate or incomplete detail, send a note through Contact. We will check it against the available evidence and update the page when the evidence supports a correction.
Using AI transparently
Artificial intelligence tools may help with research, organisation or drafting. They are not sources and cannot establish that a claim is correct: important information needs verifiable support and editorial review. When AI use matters to understanding how a piece was made, we explain it without crediting a tool with checks it did not perform.
Our relationship with Glimpy
Glimpy is an application project connected to BOBBONS. Its ambition is to bring together ways to discover places, plan itineraries, read guides, join a community and find local businesses. That describes the project’s direction, not a promise that every function is already available. When we discuss a feature, we identify whether it is operational, planned or experimental.
The connection with Glimpy does not restrict what the magazine can cover. We can discuss and compare services such as Komoot, Wikiloc, Atlas Obscura and Google Arts & Culture based on documented features and readers’ needs. We do not call Glimpy better without evidence from a fair comparison. We link the app to a place only after that place has been checked, approved and added to its catalogue; an article does not automatically create places or monuments in the app.
Information, reviews and promotion
News, reviews, comparisons and promotional material serve different purposes and should be easy to tell apart. A document-based review is not a hands-on test. We describe direct testing only when it actually took place, stating what was tested and under which conditions. Any advertising, collaboration or affiliate link is identified near the relevant material and does not determine the editorial judgement.
Readers and discussion
Reader reports help us find errors, updates and new questions worth exploring. Approved comments are moderated and should remain relevant and respectful. The planned WordPress.com sign-in for joining discussions is not active in the local environment; participation options will be explained when the feature becomes available.
